Behind every statistic is a child, a smile and a family. These are some of the moments we'll carry with us.
"I never had a bag of my own before today."
On a Thursday morning in November, a convoy of volunteers walked into a rural primary school carrying hundreds of new school bags. By the end of the day, every child in the school left with a bag on their back — and a story they would tell at home that evening.
"Nurture me; I will change the world."
It started as a slogan on a placard. It became the closing line of every outreach we've run since. Children remind us, again and again, that all they need is someone to believe in them.
"Small acts. Lifelong impact."
We've stopped trying to measure impact by scale alone. We measure it by the child who, three years on, is still in school — because a bag, a uniform and a kind word arrived at the right moment.
"Inspiring hope, sparking change!"
One mother walked her four-year-old to our outreach and said, simply, 'thank you for seeing him.' That is the change we are after — children, and the families that love them, being seen.
"Put a smile on a child's face today."
Sometimes the work is as simple as that. A photograph, a smile, a moment where a child knows they are at the centre of someone's attention. The rest builds from there.
